How it
was made.
Written with the client and published only once they have approved the detail. No outcome or figure is stated before then.
- Brief
A new hotel elevation needing its name read from the approach, with the building still on site.
- Build
Individual letters are made up with pale faces and visible returns, then set out one by one along the top edge of a horizontal fascia band above the entrance canopy. A circular logo is applied to the ground-floor glazing below. Photographed with scaffolding, hazard tape and unfinished paving still in place.
- Result
The name reads across the full width of the elevation, and the logo repeats the identity at eye level for anyone arriving at the door.
